Hi, I’m Emma Kate Dineen, a journalist, broadcaster and digital content creator from Limerick. I’m currently in my final year studying Journalism & Digital Communications at the University of Limerick, and over the last few years I’ve had the chance to work across a wide range of media.
Sport and football have been a huge part of my journey so far. I’ve worked in sports media with RTÉ Sport, Limerick FC and Treaty United, while also developing my own work through matchday vlogs, photography, articles, features, podcasts and video content. I’ve also spent the last few years working in radio with Live95, gaining experience in research, production, news, interviews and broadcasting, while also being a student social media officer for the University of Limerick and UL Sport.
While sport is a big part of what I do, my interests don’t stop there. I’m also really interested in history, music, K-pop, television, entertainment and popular culture, particularly the way digital media and social platforms have changed how audiences engage with them. I enjoy experimenting with different types of content and finding ways to tell stories that feel natural and connect with people.
Whether I’m behind a microphone, camera or laptop, I’m always looking for new stories to tell and new things to create. This website brings together some of the work and experiences that have shaped me so far, as I continue to figure out where I want a career in media to take me.
